Former Clark County Clerk
Diana Alba began working at the Clark County Clerk's Office in December 1985 as a District Courtroom Clerk for Department XVI. During the next 15 years she accepted positions of increasing responsibility, working her way up through various supervisory and management positions.
In November 2000, Shirley Parraguirre appointed Diana to be the Assistant County Clerk, a position Diana held for nearly nine years. Sadly, Shirley Parraguirre passed away on August 30, 2009 and the Clark County Board of County Commissioners unanimously appointed Diana to fill the unexpired term. She ran for the office in 2010 and won. She held that position until she retired in 2014, when she endorsed another Emerge alumna, Lynn Goya for the position.
Prior to her retirement, Diana earned a reputation for being fiscally responsible, conscientious in following the law, and dedicated to serving the community. Diana has been married to John P. Alba for 40 years. Together they have dedicated themselves to serving in the community and raising their four children: Virginia, Cristina, Jeannine and David.
